RUVA respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
WHO WE ARE
RUVA is operated by Mohamed-Essedik Chebli, based in Quebec, Canada. For any question about your data, write to privacy@tryruva.com.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect the email address and any name or message you choose to give us.
When you place an order, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and payment confirmation. We never see or store your full card number — payment is handled by Shopify Payments and the payment providers you choose.
When you visit tryruva.com, we automatically receive standard technical information: your IP address, browser, device type, referring page, and how you move through the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
WHY WE USE IT
- To send you the emails you asked for, and only those.
- To process, ship, and support your orders.
- To detect fraud and protect the store.
- To understand which pages work and which do not.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers who make the store run.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
Shopify hosts our store and processes orders. Klaviyo sends our emails. Payment providers process payments. Shipping carriers deliver parcels. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and is bound to protect it.
Some of these providers operate outside Canada. Where that is the case, your information may be stored or processed in another country and may be subject to the laws of that country.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order records are kept as long as required by Canadian tax and commercial law. Waitlist and marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe, and removed within 30 days of your request.
YOUR RIGHTS
You may ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, unless we are legally required to keep it;
- stop sending you marketing, which you can also do from the link at the bottom of every email.
Write to privacy@tryruva.com. We answer within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to receive your data in a portable format. If you are in Quebec, you may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information.
COOKIES
Cookies keep your session working and help us measure how the site is used. You can refuse or delete them in your browser settings. Refusing them may break parts of the site.
CHILDREN
RUVA is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
CHANGES
We may update this policy. The date below tells you when it last changed, and material changes will be announced on this page.
